Minor League Baseball Top Performers Hitter of the DayWith a number of good choices on the day, Ryan Kreidler takes the nod here with a perfect day at the plate for Toledo. He went 3-3 with a walk, scoring twice and driving in two runs on a pair of solo home runs, but the Mud Hens still fell to Rochester 6-3. Kreidler had a strong offensive season in 2021 between Double-A and Triple-A, smacking 22 home runs with a .803 OPS while playing the left side of the infield. Minor League Baseball Top Performers Hitter of the DayPedro Leon came to the Astros with big expectations from Cuba last season. He struggled with injury and performance over the course of the 2021 season. His first game with Sugar Land was much better, however, as he went 3-5 at the plate, lacing a double and showing off his plus speed when he took off and stole a base in the seventh inning. The biggest question remaining for Leon is his defense, and that was still present as he committed two errors at shortstop on Opening Day.
