While the final day of April brought to close an incredibly exciting month of minor league baseball, it was the debut of one of the top prospects in baseball last night that caught my eye. Griffin Canning made his MLB debut for the Angels against the Blue Jays. He went 4 1/3 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits, walking one and striking out 6.
