Minor League Baseball Daily Thread for May 1, 2019
While the final day of April brought to close an incredibly exciting month of minor league baseball, it was the debut of one of the top prospects in baseball last night that caught my eye. Griffin Canning made his MLB debut for the Angels against the Blue Jays. He went 4 1/3 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits, walking one and striking out 6. He was rolling through 4 innings but opened the 4th by allowing a solo home run and a double, and that ended his night. He’ll be one to watch for sure!
