After a half-dozen years writing for multiple sites, family changes have encouraged me to go forward with my own site, and after plenty of work to get things all set up, here we are!

First, a bit about me. My name is Ben, and thank you for visiting my endeavor! I’ve spent my life as a huge baseball fan, watching hours of baseball growing up in South Dakota with no major league team near me. All those hours watching the game allowed me to develop a bit of an eye for the game, and when I began first writing for Tomahawk Take in 2013, one thing I wanted to approach was prospects.

I began writing reports the next spring, and the first one I wrote drew the notice of a retired scout who got in contact with me to help me hone my eye. This has led to hundreds of scouting reports done via watching video over the last 5 years. I’m intending to have this be a place where I can continue to produce those same reports. The big restriction for me is that a player has to be somewhere that’s covered by either MLB TV or MiLB TV in order to get full-game views.

Of course, I still have plenty of interest in writing other pieces about the game I love sincerely and producing prospect lists and other such things, so those will also be available here!
